Democracy requires an Informed Electorate. "Informed" is not limited to "educated" or
"up on the latest news". Every member of the electorate is entitled to an opinion, and to share
that opinion. The Electorate includes all of us, all of our thoughts, opinions, and concerns.
The
need for an "informed electorate" requires you, the voter, to become informed. At
VoterSpeak, we are extremely wary of persuading or advocating any side of an issue. However,
we also recognize that making information available is part of our mission. With that in mind,
we have developed the VoterSpeak Issue Education Center, an electronic system of data collection
designed to gather information resources from the web (news reports, studies, etc.) and make
them available to you for your own research.
If you know of other topics that should be listed here (or have comments on those
presented), please let us know!
Your vote counts once a year but your voice counts every day...at VoterSpeak.
